I can see where he was going with his post, but mostly it's off target because he assumes people are only posting things like "Trump is a Liar" and that none of us have actual lives Social Media can impact. Rookie error :)
A lot of these guys pine for the days when executive editors told everyone what was important and what to think, and few people had the mechanisms to talk back or build their own platforms. They resent the (relative) democratisation of media. Poor babies 😔
I cannot abide privileged people with huge platforms squandering perfectly good eyeballs and oxygen on sneering when they could be doing something constructive. At least be funny or hot, damn.
