Question: if Trump can make the case that Rudy's work was necessitated by Presidential duty, and thus not in the service of committing a crime... can he be re-instated?

You're talking like there's a concept of "legal theory" where there's some sort of coherent logic to the law, where if you find a contradiction, everyone will agree wow, yeah, you got us, that's wrong, we're fixing it! But that's not how the law works, & arguably even shouldn't be how it works.
