Weird* how he didn’t call for such punishment for those who violently stormed the seat of American government to try to stop the Constitutionally mandated transfer of power after a free and fair election *weird, but not surprising

"Executive Time" fell out of the coverage of Donald Trump in the most incredible way. Nobody writing about his quest to become president again ever mentions the fact that he hated the job when he had it and he couldn't and wouldn't really do it!

(1) Yes, he can just pardon them. (2) He can then also hold that over the heads of government workers who resist while siccing the Justice Department on them. Don't want to go along? Well, you've got a problem, buster.

what are we doing here? he accidentally said million instead of billion and then immediately knew it and corrected himself. he didn’t “flub a line” and then “make an effort to correct himself,” he did the speaking equivalent of a typo that you know you’ve made and instantly correct

also Trump's supporters have no idea what he's saying half the time! no one does! there's no need to overthink this. Trump is popular because he channels vibes-based grievances and wants to punish those groups who his supporters feel have wronged them. That's it.

They still, quite literally, have never reported in any section of their newspaper on the fact that Trump published Obama’s address to his violent supporters and an armed assassin showed up THE NEXT DAY.

Trump could have never been elected in the media landscape before the 90s. It took 3 decades of information siloing to protect enough voters from the reality of who he is and create the false impression of what Dems represent

Terrible that unhinged activist stunts from climate protestors and milkshake throwers sealed the deal for the Tories yet again, people in the UK just won't stand for uncouth behavior like that, clearly

Kills me that he said that he wouldn't vote in 2019, then voter in 2020 and 2022. Guy comes from the conservative feeder college heavily involved with DeVos and stuff like 1776 project, and Jan 6th. The NYTimes just elevated a serial shit-poster & liar who was knee deep in Trump's 2020 shenanigans

It wasn't just the headline, he lied in the article too. And they didn't even bother to change that. Only with the most slimy mental gyrations could you claim that this meant "I always voted but I'm not planning to next time". What he wrote implies that he put it into practice already.

Kills me that he wrote about how he wouldn't vote in... 2019. Then he voted in the next 2 elections, & now we're back to the next election after that, and the Times is just republishing a reheated version of his 2019 piece claiming he definitely won't vote this time and you shouldn't either, honest

Wrote that he wouldn't vote again in 2019, was an "ex-voter:" theweek.com/articles/802... and then what do you know, he voted the very next year, then two years later: voted again. Then almost two years later, a barely rewritten article saying he definitely won't vote this time, honest

I actually don't mind being challenged by honest disagreement, even from conservatives. so if the times ever finds an honest conservative opinion writer who can write worth a damn, that'd be fine. what i cannot abide is people who lie in the newspaper.

Jesus. Automated enforcement advocates really underestimate the potential for abuse with these cameras. The amount of information they collect is staggering, as is the ability to piece it all together to meticulously track individual people.

According to someone with access to a MI voter file... he votes (in 2020 & 2022). Since it's public record (just harder or easier to get the information for free depending on the state) it's weird that he staked a claim to against something that someone can just go and look up and see if he did.

Relevant to that NYT piece that's going around...if your vote didn't still matter, they wouldn't be trying everything to convince you it was worthless.
