I am interested to how this will be litigated. Like how is "sexually protective device" defined. This bill doesn't have an internal definition. This also has a chance to create bad precedents as well as good ones. Chastity belts specifically are sometimes used in abusive scenarios.
May I screenshot this and share to other platforms?
I can write My own post if not, but I think you said it perfectly, and I dont just want to swipe your post/content without your permission!
Ooh! This sounds like it's about people who removes condoms/diaphragms etc without telling their partner first! If I'm reading it right, it's supposed to help prevent people from getting trapped with someone via on-purpose unwanted pregnancy.
Neat!
I mean, from what I can tell, this law explicitly refers to "sexual contact or sexual penetration." Technically, a chastity cage could fit the law's definition, but it would have to involve taking the cage off during sexual contact and then continuing to engage in sexual contact without consent.
i had a thought... due to your wording and it being OR sexually transmitted infections wouldnt buttplugs also maybe count under this? but that may just be in your wording.
Oh this is a good law, but I guess that's just a weird technicality that falls under it. I'd like to see someone try and get 5k out of some sub through the courts this way
(to be clear, the law was designed to target nonconsensual removal or tampering of condoms, but ended up being written to cover ALL "sexually protective devices" that are a physical barrier to "prevent pregnancy or sexually transmitted infections". Which includes: your chastity cage >:))
Does this law count with diapers or do diapers not count as "sexually protective devices that are a physical barrier to prevent pregnancy or sexually transmitted infections?"
