I was told to do that, but it was frequently my parents' rules/authority I was questioning, and that wasn't often allowed, so I didn't really get to learn how to do it effectively until university. Nobody should ever stop, no matter their educational attainment or personal achievements.

Oh...I'm not neurotypical, but I was raised in an authoritarian household and have severe RSD, so I learned early it was easier to follow the rules/go along than deal with the consequences of challenging them. It was studying Sociology for my BA and MA that I learned to identify the processes.

It's because it's not really an abstraction. It's a social construct that's been continuously reified throughout human history. So while it might be abstract conceptually, it has concrete consequences, much like race or gender. See also, the Thomas Theorem.

I dont think that's more apt. How does one master a piece of music by listening? I don't think most people are only playing one game over and over. Some might, others might have one they return to frequently, but the vast majority are playing multiple games and aren't looking to master them.

We got solar panels installed, and there's an app to track power generation. Check regularly, and show it to anybody who's had the slightest interest in the panels.

I feel there are too many factors going on to have one statute neatly solve the problem. At the foundation, we lack digital literacy/education and comprehensive regulation in the digital space. I think addressing those are core to effectively dealing with the issue at the thread's start.

Potentially, but this is something which requires more thought and nuance than can be done in this format. I think the key component is that sharing it to social media aggravates the situation due to the reach (more people can see it) and longevity (servers, "your memories") of it.

I assume it would be written in a way to to target specific information (PHI) and/or avenues of communication (public posting) about your kid, whoch then end up in court and need a ruling. I'd argue sharing my kid had their first period on FB should not be something within my parental rights.

It's weird, because historically in the US, when there were more government regulations in place on the whole, the wealthy were also taxed at a higher rate, and when regs were dropped, so were those tax rates. That drop in the chart around '80 coincides with Regan and a lot of deregulation
