I read Gravity's Rainbow with a study guide I bought at the same bookstore I got the book from in the first place. I honestly didn't enjoy it but I was a little smarter afterwards, or so I thought anyway. There's nothing wrong with easy reads but...

My spouse tells me something similar sometimes when she paints for 2 hrs and then bins the result, which prompts me to say "Sorry hon", necessitating her explanation that there's nothing to be sorry about. For us non-artistic types, that doesn't always make sense until you folks remind us.

I have two cats in my house who don't particularly care for me but who love my wife and only entertain very transient pets from me when there are literally treats in my hand that I'm about to give them in exchange for 2 seconds of false affection and I'm still thinking "jeez I hope that cat is OK"

Given this team's inability to execute with RISP I had no problem with the send. The bunt was just stupid and it's Murphy letting players fall in love with it that's the problem. Perkins deserves every ounce of criticism but Murphy deserves more.

My only problems with Discovery was that the Sci in their Sci Fi didn't let me suspend disbelief and the serialized narratives didn't hold up imo. (Full disclosure I gave up after season 3.) Best writing of the show was the character driven dialogue and their "woke" motivations/interactions.

FWIW: prosecutors in Wisconsin state courts don't have to get indictments from grand juries. They can, but rarely do. The AG's office just filed these charges. It's not a situation where they sought more indictments and didn't get them. This is a choice made by the AG.

I watched Davis olay minor league ball at the A level and again in Milwaukee. Honestly seems like the kind of player whose experience lends itself to coaching as he was often overlooked and had to grind past expectations to earn opportunities.

I work in the criminal justice system and this false perception has been around for 20 years. When I was a prosecutor and I heard family members say that I'd point out the actual data and offer them sources for it and they were shocked. Then 3 months later the same conversation would repeat.
