Oh jeez! I was sitting and a large wolf spider dropped off my head onto my shoulder and then on to the floor!!! After a reflex yell sounding something like WOAaaaAaahhAA, I ran and got the Raid and the vacuum. I’ll never be able to sleep tonight. There will be nightmares for sure!

If the sink installers hadn't mounted brackets where the faucet plumbing was supposed to go, I could have had water a week ago. If they installers had mounted the sink when they did the countertops, I could have had water two weeks ago. I'm SOOOO glad it's all done now.

Update. After a couple of snafus with the counter/sink installation, I was FINALLY able to get my kitchen faucet hooked up this morning. It's been 27 days since it was disconnected. But running water at last!

My little brother used to get in trouble during his school years. He was threatened with being sent there. (We lived in S. FLA in late 50’s - 70’s.) Really glad he got his act together. The Nickel Boys was a gut wrenching story that brought memories.

Dang, I really suck at caulking. I either put on too much, or too little. And I always make a freaking mess all over my hands and whatever else is near where I'm caulking. But success! That chore is done! #ToDoList

A prime example of how much you love what you do. I do the same thing when asked about the high school robotics team I mentor. I even have a tee shirt that cautions I may spontaneously talk about robotics.

I hate it when I buy a tube of silicone caulk, then leave it sit in the garage for a year, and then it will only come out through the back of the tube and the rest is all solidified.

Nice! I wish we had the space for a CNC. I'm hoping when the advanced manufacturing programs move to a new facility in 18 months that we can take over their space and have room for something like that!

I didn't know squirrels, or anything else for that matter, ate milkweed blossoms. After some US Fish & Wildlife searching I discovered that many animals eat the flowers. They're supposed to taste like broccoli. But I don't think I'll be trying them out. Here's one in my back yard having a snack.

An Eastern Tiger Swallowtail butterfly enjoying my milkweed patch. Milkweed isn't the prettiest garden flower, but it sure does draw pollinators! Sells nice, too.

Hey, friends, what do you think this is? My ring camera picked it up last night. The camera is under the eaves so I'm guessing maybe an #Opossum was taking a nap in the gutter? With the wide angle camera lens it's difficult to estimate the actual length, but I'm guessing maybe 5-7 inches?

I sprung for some pull out shelves for inside my freshly painted kitchen cabinets. I started by removing the half shelf in the back of the cabinet what was more in the way than useful, and then installed the sliding shelves. #WorthIt for the $130 I spent for the shelf unit.

Today the painters finished my kitchen and other cabinets. They installed hinges and handles, and matched doors/drawers to where they are supposed to be. I'm still waiting on the sink & faucet to be installed. That will be Thursday at the earliest. There was a snafu on ordering the sink.

Nature doing its thing on two tree stumps and some surface roots I chose not to have ground down. Both are in my back yard. I think something is living under one of them. But I'm okay with that (as long as it's not a skunk).

The state of my kitchen, getting progressively more "covered" since Wednesday. The painter will use a sprayer for the cabinets, which is why everything is covered. He even moved my artwork off the walls and covered the walls. Hopefully he'll get the painting done soon! Door Dash is my friend now.
