Shower diverters, for some reason, have come up a lot in my life. So have aerators (the mesh grids on the bottom if sink faucets that make the water come out nicely)

So as you can see, that time it was actually me pushing it DOWN that made it work and not pulling it up. You never know what’s gonna happen! So just have fun with it :) - explaining to people the arcane series of steps to try and get the shower diverter in the guest bathroom to work
