I use it to help me write code (the code I write tends to be simple enough for ChatGPT to not royally mess up), but I mainly use it for figuring out how to structure the code.
Not always super reliable though. It has hallucinated functions on occasion.

There's also folks who confuse "ice shelf" with "glacier" and "collapse" with "calving." For example, whoever wrote the headline below. It's actually a good article, but the headline is awful and the contents are behind a paywall 😬

This is also pretty bad on Reddit. I've been called a climate change denier for explaining marine ice sheet instability to a Redditer on one of the climate / environment subreddits.
Reddit is a very "I read the headlines, so I know more than you" type of place.

There's a chance science fiction rules don't apply to ice sheets. And large-scale / high-cost projects like this can have unintentended and unknown consequences. Bad idea.
