During my toddler’s nap I wrote out a detailed to-do list on a dry erase board. Shortly after waking, toddler erased a big chunk of it with a single playful swipe of her hand🙃

It’s so hard being a toddler parent with lots of yardwork and garden projects. There’s so little time when it’s possible to work on stuff and after I get my kid to bed I often have an overwhelming urge to go outside and start planting things and spreading mulch, but it’s too damn dark out🙃

My friend was denied medical care and kicked out of the ER today for asking staff to wear masks. They called security who then assaulted her friend who was there to support her. This is an ADA violation and a despicable act of ableist violence.

Someone explain to me why neither a birth certificate nor social security card is considered adequate proof of my toddler’s date of birth to get on Medicaid, but rather, an affidavit in which I declare that she is too young to have a state ID.

Most of my life I’ve thought myself to be the Ernie in most dynamics. With my toddler, I have no choice but to be the Bert. Painful as it is, I take comfort in knowing she is true to Ernie’s unflappability and seems unfazed by my exasperation on a tough day.

It’s an iPhone 12 mini. I do have an adult card reader with an adapter cable I can plug in, but I haven’t gotten in the habit of dumping regularly. I take too many toddler and cat photos 😔

Tried to buy some supplements that are supposed to help boost dopamine levels in the morning, but it turned out they weren’t in the system at CVS when the pharmacist tried to ring them up. In most ways I feel much better since getting off ADHD meds a few months ago, but mornings are excruciating.
