This same perspective is why tax cuts for the rich, or even the mid to upper middle class, does very very little to stimulate the economy. It just drives up the housing and stock market and does almost nothing to the practical local economy.

UBI would solve a lot of societal ills. But the absence of UBI is itself a sign of many societal ills, which need solving first because they'll shoot down any attempt at implementing UBI. Sometimes a person can be a societal ailment, simply by the position of power they hold.

Not just recirculated but invested into the local economy, which I suspect is part of the reasoning for slow uptake on UBI. Anything other than immediate gain is simply too long a wait for corporate greed.

Literally giving a homeless person a house & assistance cost way less than hostile architecture, sending them to jail, & them needing to go to an emergency room to not die without insurance or money.
