I did some of that when writing Starjammer, but some of the concepts I wanted to build in with limited ability to conquer neighboring worlds as a triviality and the possibility of limited, difficult, controlled intergalactic travel were rewritten to make both of those things easy... 🤷🏻♂️

I wanted something that I thought would be more interesting and less prone to abuse, but... We ended up with what went to print. It's a shame, because a lot of important features got reworked to make everything easy & trivial for players. I think we ended up with something lesser for it.
