Hawaii. Maybe it's an east coast thing, if I want tropical islands the Caribbean is a lot closer, and I have Iceland if I want volcanoes. Nothing about Hawaii has appealed to me since I saw that Brady Bunch episode. Like Phoenix, I'm sure it's nice. I'll pass.

I just submitted my final car payment. Probably the last 0% loan I'll ever have. The last time I financed a vehicle, in 1994, I mailed my final payment check in the morning. That same night I collided with a moose in New Hampshire and totaled my truck. I don't think I'll drive anywhere tonight.

I had never seen a band do what they did. They played with music. During a jam, they seamlessly began playing Edgar Winter's Frankenstein and then somehow seamlessly went back to the original song. I didn't quite know how they did it. Thank you to those four dorks from Vermont. It's been a good run.

30 years ago today I went to see a band play for the first time. I had a couple of their albums, I liked them, but the first set were all these unfamiliar songs. Everyone around me was losing their minds over it for some reason. The second set blew me away and turned me into a lifelong fan.
