It's been a long time since I sat in my car enjoying the silence before going into work. I love my job. It's where I belong. But sometimes I just want to be left alone to get on with my work instead of refereeing the moaning and the indifferent attitudes.

Morning 🌞 It's our wedding anniversary today. I'd usually have booked the day off, but Beti the Yeti is still at the garage being fixed so no racing off to the seaside for us. However, I am WFH so can hopefully blitz through the backlog of paperwork that's been building up.

That sounds like a really good system. It offers the security of permanence right from the beginning. I only ever remember one of my foster clients doing that. Most of the rest were very much temporary placements - sometimes for a few weeks, sometimes a few months.

It's primarily about Richard II and his guardians, but I thought it was quite a stark statement worth sharing. I've known dozens of foster carers and there is a split in the mindset between them. Half of them see it as a job, and the other half see it as a calling.

Thanks Barbara. It's getting very frustrating now. The pain I can cope with, it's the restricted movement that's getting to me. I've had to buy front-fastening bras because my arm just can't reach any more. 🙈

Thought I'd slept funny to begin with but it's got worse over the past 6 months. Getting dressed is very difficult now. 😔 Physio says it's something to do with my upper trap so we're working on that, but I think it's more than that. The pain burns all down my arm & I have very restricted movement.

Physio update: I've been doing my exercises every day* but still can't move my arm very far. Things I still cannot do: - Reach behind my back - Hug - Lift my arm high enough to apply deo Things I can now do: - Move things that are waist height - Reach a bit further when doing a jigsaw *almost
