I don't know how to deal with things they've written during the shunning, or how to distribute the proceedes, but how about to the victims? That'd be cool! It'd disincentives them from writing but I don't care lol

I'm glad he was able to succeed but I hate the power over the world it gave him to hurt other people. If I could that'd be something I'd change, though I don't know how. I am trying to make sure this also qualifies for Gaiman discourse because uhhh yeah

Best I can do is shit on him in public and not pay for anything he does but the damage is done now. I wouldn't want to spend personal time with him in the same way I wouldn't want to spend it with Biden because I'd just get mad and either blow up or seethe privately.

I wouldn't have wanted to stop him, and I'm glad theoretically for anyone's artistic successes. Enders Game was the first book I remember finishing in one go because I couldn't sleep until I did. But I'd rather he was a failure and hadn't had power over the real world than have that experience.

I do think it's an interesting question. OSC is a good example, a less successful American Jolene but not by much. I'm glad he wrote the books he did, but I'm not glad he makes money from them, because I know what they're going to (funding anti-lgbtqia propaganda orgs). So am I glad he wrote them?
