My Solomonic view is that NYT—perhaps the president’s primary persecutor recently—showed its whole ass with this swiss-cheese Parkinson’s specialist story. It’s blatantly copied from right-wing charlatans, unvetted. And a nimbler White House and campaign would be making it pay dearly for that.

Now is the time for SOLIDARITY. If President Biden were going to stand aside, I'd support his successor. He says he won't. There's NO process that can force him to do so. Further attempts to force him to step aside increase the likelihood that Trump wins. I hope Biden knows what he's doing.

With almost as much uncertainty as humidity in the air, the Houston area should be prepared for possible severe weather from #Beryl on Monday, depending on which way Beryl goes in the next day and a half. Minor winds or hurricane gusts. A few inches of rain to 5-10 inches - or more. 🤷🏻♂️

Yes. His job, or whoever is the Democratic nominee, is to give their all. Our job is to vote for them. You’re hanging the fate of the election on the nominee. It’s an easy way out when whoever runs loses. “Well, they weren’t my first choice. Not my fault.” Ugh.

Sure. This is a great argument but it ignores the fact that the President will have a staff to brief him before they makes a decision. It’s not a debate format where you have to pull it all out of your head. At the end of the day, this is a non-starter.

That’s because this kind of tabloid crap gets clicks and sells ads. If Biden steps down, it’ll only change to “the new Dem can’t raise enough money/ doesn’t have support/is too young and inexperienced/ is gay/is straight/doesn’t have a dog…the list goes on.
