Having said all that... We also travel via car a lot. Older and wiser us stop whenever we want. It doesn't add that much time depending on what your stop purpose is. Zero shame stops to literally get fresh air, walking around to rehydrate, get a meal/snack and cut down on hangry driving.

I drink so much diet coke while driving, I have to stop like every 20 miles LOL but yeah it's so nice to stop and look at things especially at truck stops. I love a good regional truck stop store. So many weird wooden items
