I know, we should be working on a more robust public transportation system and increase PROTECTED bike lanes. But right now, we don't have that and folks gotta get around while people fight the good fight at the local level. The grid needs updating and corporations need to be held accountable.

four years ago a person I thought was smart told me it didn't matter if trump won again. I lost my shit pointing to all our friends n marginalized communities. he understood the stakes at that point. Sometimes you need to yell at your friends to get them to understand, it's not about them.

It’s really hard for anyone outside of the EEA/EU area to come and work here. You have two options: either there is a desperate demand for someone with your skillset (could be anywhere between a brain surgeon and a construction worker if there is an economic boom) or you secure employment before 1/2

If you're thinking Canada? This is purely anecdotal, but I travel all over the world for my job and Canada is the only country that aggressively questions me as to why I'm in Canada doing journalism and insists I should be doing it in America. So maybe they're not that keen on us just showing up.

I think even with USMCA it's still tough. Also, Canada is the one country where I've been aggressively questioned about work travel. They do not like Americans working there I guess. As for Mexico. I'm lucky, my mom is Mexican so I can apply for Mexican citizenship.
