Just rolled over 20k miles in my 2023 Maverick XL Hybrid I bought new in February 2023. Average fuel economy has been 36.5 MPG, working out to a per-mile cost around $0.11. Based on my last check, I'm still +$5k on trade in value compared to what I paid. Not bad, Ford!

99% of peoples EV complaints were not present in the Bolt and Bolt EUV. Normal door handles ✅ Physical button controls: for HVAC ✅ for heated seats ✅ For heated steering wheel ✅ Volume knob ✅ CarPlay and Android Auto ✅ GM: let's ruin our model sales and branding by killing it early.

I recently drove 740 miles in a day and as someone that drives a lot of cars for a very long time, there's no way I could do that without stopping a few times. Even a recent 400-mile trek required a few stops. So when someone says EVs need 500 miles of range to fit into their road-trip life. lolno

Is airline traveling really cheap though? We have no understanding how any average income small family could vacation via air. Seems like a conditioning for the antsy factor. Tablets and other entertainment options do seem cheap.

Having said all that... We also travel via car a lot. Older and wiser us stop whenever we want. It doesn't add that much time depending on what your stop purpose is. Zero shame stops to literally get fresh air, walking around to rehydrate, get a meal/snack and cut down on hangry driving.

We sort of understand the 500 mile range IF we are factoring in ONLY charging to 80% i.e 400 miles. When you factor in how long it can take to simply register for a charger + charge time/outages/in use we get it. Not to mention cost. Versus 400 miles and then L2 charge at destination cheaply.
