Highly recommend Dante: Inferno to Paradise, on PBS. Conjured memories of a grad school seminar. we read several translations of The Divine Comedy & discussed the nuances of translation.
Had forgotten that one of the deepest layers of hell is for frauds & liars. πŸ˜‰ #medieval #historicalfiction

So many historical figures I've thought of as single--wonder why? I'm watching the excellent Dante: From Inferno to Paradise and realized I'd never heard anything about his wife and children when studying him in grad school. And now I learn Martin Luther had a wife! πŸ—ƒοΈ#historicalfiction #medieval

I've always loved your writing, so I'm sure I will. And it's perfect timing for a Flemish character in something I'm writing--he'll have folktales to tell! I'll credit you, of course.

No, this is a chilling book. You'll love it. Now I need to read The King in Yellow.

This is why I'm taking the time to read the copyedited manuscript aloud--to catch such repetition. And everything else the copyeditor missed. I have fond memories of copyeditors who would have caught most of this.

Isn't it? My editor's putting together a new procedure to prevent this. We'll see... Meanwhile, I'm almost finished.
