He just couldn't care less. He probably didn't even think about it. The cost of living crisis exists for him only as a political tool. He's a political tool too π

I have noticed that the ANZ is a reliable early bird when it comes to squeezing their mortgage holders. Always among the first to capitalise on events. They love money a lot.

I'm not from America, so had to look up the House Judiciary committee GOP. That language about hotels being "overrun by illegal aliens" is extreme and highly aggressive. To me, as an outsider, it is beneath their standing as government representatives and they should be highly censured. Shocking.

Why does capitalism require growth at all times and at all costs? Surely there is a better way. If we must have capitalism, why can't it be better than this?

"..in her introduction to the report, Boyd describes the big four's "insidious and creeping expansion" into the public service had not only drained it of agency motivation and experience but it had threatened the integrity of government decision-making."

Has anybody else been watching the French Open tennis coverage on Channel 9 (Australia)? It's so bad, so minimal and stingy, I've given up on it. I guess they think giving us this appalling coverage will convince us to get Stan..?

I have a suspicion that I overcare to avoid some nebulous "punishment". I avoid displeasing people, rather than pour love into them, if that makes sense. I don't feel great about it, that my caring is more self-preservation than an expression of love turned outward...

When he recently said "Give us the Zelensky file", I thought his words sounded lifted straight from a much earlier era, and it was all a bit pathetic and past its use by date.

I grew up in Australia, watching American shows, and thinking Americans just don't say goodbye on the phone. I absorbed it as part of your culture.

I'm wondering what the government ever got out of wrecking the public service. Is the "jobs for mates and donors" aspect of privatising our public service worth the fallout. I don't know what so many of our politicians think they're even doing. They mystify me.
