I think this is very mixed today. I don’t know who are exactly, but I probably know most of them (maybe all) in person. Best way to get to know is to show up in one of the meetups or conferences (GStreamer Conf or FOSDEM).

Indeed it would be nice. I don’t know myself. I might ask in the next GStreamer Hackfest (at the end of this month). Maybe there could be a talk in the next GStreamer Conference. I don’t know the history myself.

Yeah, started in January. I do mostly Java, but I also write some Rust, Javascript, and Golang. I work in the live streaming backend. Specifically on the systems for multimedia processing for live broadcast. 😊

Last Wednesday evening Kris Nova had a climbing accident and died. All of us that loved her are heart broken and stunned. She was an amazing person that lived out loud and built connection and community wherever she went. She will be horribly missed.
