That is so cool. I'd never heard of them before today, when my daughter sent me a link to Wild Open Country.

I'm intrigued by western duo Buffalo Kin. So far, they've only released a 22-minute demo. I'm eager to hear what they are going to do next.

Painfully accurate. What sucks is that I assume most readers over there or nothing like that. Unfortunately many commenters are.

[Mastodon gripe deleted] I just need to remember not to post things there, even if I think they are important.

Don't you hate it when you talk down to someone and then it turns out you don't know what the fuck you're talking about?

If you’ve never seen Dorothea Lange’s photographs of the World War II internment camps and the Japanese-Americans who were imprisoned there, today is a good day to see them and to commit to making sure this never happens again.

Yes. That’s why I ruled that out in the comment about language. But the way the networks are wired up are completely different — hence the comment about architectures.

What can this possibly mean? Brains evolved over 500 million years ago; language probably less than 100,000. So he can't mean it literally. Bach studies cognitive architectures and has a PhD in cognitive science, so he knows the difference between brains and transformers.

So walking down the hallway today with three people not far behind me, I remembered something and just straight up turned around, no words, no arm motion, no nothing. They stared. I suppressed the urge to shout "I forgot something, motherfucker, got a problem with that?" It felt gangster.

“It’s a slippery slope, Caravaggio. You start out thinking I’ll just underexpose a shadow or two, what’s the big deal? One thing leads to another and the next thing you know you’ve stabbed a guy in the balls, you’re hiding in Rome under assumed name, and a death sentence is hanging over your head.”

The bottom has dropped out of the market. I’m blessed to live only a few miles away from www.shotonfilmstore.com and was able to pick up my dream camera, a Nikon F5, for a song. For the rest of you, try KEH.com.
