How did you know it was FIV positive? I'm asking because my foster babies got sick and I've had conflicting diagnoses. Some said it's covid, others said it was FIV.

His shelter profile said he had it. I assume they gave him a snap test for FIV/FeLV. It seems odd that a bunch of kittens would all get FIV though as it is not airborne and transmission from an infected mom is rare....

Your vet can do a very simple test for FIV. A feral cat that found its way into my home has it, a dose of interferon every morning and he’s as fit as a fiddle now, though he was very poorly when he turned up.
