The irony is I can think of several film pitches that became comics, but they were all done by comic book writers stymied by Hollywood, who then repurposed their store for the medium they already worked in. I don't know that it would work for people not versed is comics at all.

It's because people don't view comics as a medium that can stand on its own. It's always an "adaptation" or a step towards a movie. "Anyone can do it" "its just collected screenshots" "it's cheaper than a movie" I hate it
