The sorting is mostly done by low risk prisoners on day release, which I am a little unsure how I feel about unless they actually make minimum wage not prison wage scale.

We have at least 3 central pick-up locations I know of off the top of my head (I typically use whichever is on the way to where I am going, rarely make a special trip). No sorting pre-drop. All sorting is done after collection, which apparently ensures a much better recycling stream.

It turns out that the exact edition Hardback Swallows and Amazons series I am reading to my son are selling second hand for $35-50 a piece. Glad I made sure to secure them from my parents house when they were still there.

Coot Club was published in 1934. I was explaining Beccles and the Norfolk Broads to my 7YO son. I explained that I went there with (list of family) over 40 years ago. Reader, I had to do the math to see if my trip to Beccles was closer to the publishing date than to the reading and talking to 7YO.
