Sorry my American friends, but if the Orange one wins in November, SCOTUS just gave him Carte Blanche to murder, imprison, and harass anyone who opposes him and the GOP. He'll start by repealing the 22nd Amendment. Goodbye US Democracy. Hello Trump's Dictatorship.

Nothing changes. I stick with the chains (Best Western, Hilton, IHG) but even they have a "shrug shoulders" attitude to problems sometimes.

Probably not. The EU was set up wrong and needs to be reset. The European "constitution" is a huge depressing bureaucratic document and certainly doesn't have a memorable and meaningful and memorable preamble like "We, the People of the United States, in order to form a more perfect Union . . ."

I think we may have conflicting research answers probably based on the motives of the researchers. I admit my motives are deflected by the "Orange One" trying to stop a wind farm near his Scotland resort based on similar research, which was refuted . . . Always good to discuss.

AI is not intelligent. It is just a compilation of results from massive Algorithmically Reached Statistical Evaluations. Better acronym too. AI cannot make the leap of faith; the spark of inspiration. that moves humanity forward. Reliance on AI will make humanity predictable and stagnant.

Why? Larger turbine farms off the Dutch coast exist. Is there specific ecosystems on the sea floor that need protecting, as apart from that they have proven innocuous but there has been "bunk" science rolled out to stop them. e.g. Trump's effort to stop one by his white elephant resort in Scotland.

When I did code and taught it I assign 50%of the mark to readability and comment. Even if the code had functionality problems they could pass because I would consider if I could debug it easily. Programmers should not be taught to code in isolation and certainly not with AI.

OK. I'm going to be blunt. I did nearly 40 on IT working on all manner of system designs. AI is not a new technology. It's just we have the computing power to do it with a database containing vast knowledge. In reality it's just Algorithmically Realised Statistical Evaluation. Better acronym too ๐Ÿงช

I would love to put a rover right in the middle of that caldera. The science and knowledge there could give some insight into Mars geology. Problem is we are more interested in finding possible building blocks of life so it probably won't happen but still . . .

I wonder if it will affect Ticketmaster here in the UK where they allow "touts" to buy huge numbers of tickets meaning we can't buy tickets at face value but end up buying from the touts at massively inflated levels up to and even over 20x the original ticket price thus further gouging the fans.

Totally agree. As a community we work hard to inspire the next generation - surely ยฃ40k p.a. won't be too hard to raise. Or even a larger target to create an educational trust - maybe sponsored by targeted business. We simply cannot stand by and allow this. ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ ๐Ÿ”ญ ๐Ÿงช

Most of the time, the stars look the same from night to night.

Sometime over the next six months, though, there's a good chance you'll see a new bright star in the constellation Corona Borealis! (I've simulated the before & after view here.)

This is common now. Basically any data (statistical or otherwise) in your paper should, if possible, be made available publicly. The DAS defines where that data can be accessed and how. It's kinda like referencing for your data.

That's interesting. I have found that other countries are also better in attitude though I haven't experienced public transport. In France for example, the people are very helpful and almost without exception allow wheelchair users to jump queues. I would certainly try those options if available.

Here I disagree. But not for the majority. For those of us who are disabled and especially for wheelchair users, public transport is inaccessible. Even when accessible, other users make it inaccessible by blocking our access, using our spaces and not giving way for us. For us, cars=a necessary evil
