Retiree. My cats run my life. They could do a better job of it, but they're cats. πΈ Also a long-time Detroit Lions fan. I don't blame my cats for that. Hello to any #UglyDogs from the old place.
I read it as it came out monthly (well, almost monthly towards the end, iircπ). I don't know how many times I reread those issues while waiting for the next one to come out.

Reading it is always great. It's one of the few comics that's got so much going on that it's worth rereading.

I did like the Snyder film, and the HBO "sequel" series. I also don't object to Dave Gibbons getting some extra dough, so at least there's that, I hope.

I don't want to base too much on just a trailer, but it'll be interesting to see if this is pretty much the Snyder film (which used a lot of the "camera shots" from Dave Gibbons). Also wonder which ending they'll use.
And the voices here for Rorschach and The Comedian sound a lot alike.

I'm not sure why the WNBA would schedule a game for Noon on a Wednesday, especially one with the Fever. Not the greatest ratings ploy
Also, good grief that Fever home court is ugly. Gray? Gray? Blah.

This makes me think about some recent stories regarding the rotation of Earth's core.
It also makes me think that if life exists elsewhere, it is going to be exceedingly rare. It really requires a lot of optimal conditions.

There were also cautions to Fair visitors about proximity to livestock and a hand-washing reminder, also due to Avian Flu.

A couple of days ago, I was looking up information about the closest County Fair to me. It's smallish and traditional -- lots of livestock judging and auctions.
I was surprised (shouldn't have been, I guess) to see that dairy cows are not allowed this year due to Avian Flu.

The Ham and Pickle Roll-Up (Midwest Sushi) on a Potato Skin is an emotional favorite to me, but my God I'd eat my way to an ICU at that Fair. I'm jealous, but also relieved, that it's hours away from me.
And "Raging Ball"! π

When I was reading about the merger today, I saw his name and former position and thought that this was the case, and I was a little surprised/unsurprised that it wasn't mentioned there. What is wrong with people? Why hire someone with that history?

Even if it just included a lot of covers. Jack Davis did a lot of great caricature work, there was an illustrator (Amstel? Amsted?) with beautiful portrait work, and some great photography. Interior article illustrations, too!

Look, this is supposed to be a 3οΈβ£, which was the score when I played via my web shortcut, which today included a bunch of dysfunctional login malarkey.
I used the NYT general app and just entered the solution. Even the "share" thing was screwed up.

Maybe instead of calling that thing "Project 2025", we should refer to it as the "Shitty New Deal" or some such. Something catchy and more honest.

See, maybe part of the problem (referred to later in the article) is that we have normalized a "donor class".
We must have some guillotines around someplace.
(Also note that CNBC doesn't use an image from the interview. He looks like he's going full Howard Beale.)

I watched Independence Day today - hadn't seen it since it's theatrical opening night. Not much to say or think about it, except Bill Pullman's voice reminds me of Gavin Newsom's.
Also, I think that there are some plot problems with the story. π
