You're probably correct & it's true that those events have a human connection that the modern internet intentionally destroys, but as a disabled person with limited transportation & energy who can't afford to get pathogens, that would cut me off from so much. Fucking tech bros ruining everything.

We always have a choice, but it’s been fascinating to watch. When people don’t show up to the party they’ve decided upon (or leave because it’s boring), they just fill up space with bots so that the people who remain feel like they are really part of something.
