for service & personal reasons, I was on the 🟨 footprints at MCRD San Diego by Feb 2003.

80 years ago today: American and allied forces invade Normandy during Operation Overlord, to liberate France and defeat Nazi Germany. More than 4,400 allied soldiers were killed and more than 10,000 wounded. I’m thankful to President Biden for making the trip to memorialize them.
