A useful word that isn’t used enough is “democide.” Democide is the mass murder of a demographic group who are not a racial or ethnic group (“genocide.”) So for example the mass murder of queer or disabled people is democide. It can be a helpful word to disambiguate when both are taking place.

Trying not to have a complete emotional collapse in front of your kid for shit completely unrelated to them so they don't have that as a memory later in life is not fun.

My issue is I use a surface pro so even if I touch the screen with a finger, not my pen, it makes marks. Makes zooming in and out with fingers a crapshoot.

Typo. Her name is Bernice, and she's referred to in the comic as a her.

The Whiffle Hen did appear in one cartoon but his powers were DRASTICALLY changed. Like, it had nothing to do with the original comic.

He lists his gender as "amphibious" as he is both man and woman (Canon, from Segar) so he's a Magical Them.

Bluto is a bully and a thug. He is not a trained fighter. The previously mentioned boxer also went toe to toe with Popeye because he was trained. So spinach alone wouldn't be enough. He'd have to have the discipline to actually train to Popeye's level. (25/26)

But the fact that Popeye beats seven people JUST as strong as him in a fight, at the same time, means it's not just the strength spinach gives him. It's his fight prowess. He knows how to fight better than the sons, who were trained to fight. (24/26)

First, that it requires a long term diet of spinach for that strength. And Popeye has possibly been eating it his whole life. The Sea Hag's sons had been, too. Bluto has not. Which means him just eating it now may not put him on Popeye's level. (23/26)

Now, again, each one of them is just as strong as Popeye. And he has to box ALL SEVEN AT THE SAME TIME. He still wins. Barely. He's battered and barely able to stand. This posits two different ideas. (22/26)

Now, jump ahead a couple years to the Simms/Zaboly Storyline, "The Seven Sons of Sea Hag," and you learn Sea Hag has seven sons (she has a LOT of kids) who all look just like her but are JUST as strong as Popeye because she raised them eating almost nothing BUT spinach. (21/26)

If that's the case, it may be a situation where Bluto (in the comics, the cartoons are different) can't get strong from it. Mind you, he's already super strong as is. But so is Popeye. But Popeye has the other boons we spoke of (whiffle hen, vegetarianism). (20/26)

Now, the fact this character likely NEVER met Bernice, the very rare Whiffle Hen, means there are people who, like Popeye, get strong from spinach. This opens up a possibility that there are only certain people who derive strength from it. (19/26)

This storyline shows that, yes, under Segar, there are people who also eat spinach and get super strong. The boxer's plan was to get ALL of town's spinach so Popeye could have none, eating it for himself. They both end up eating too much spinach and can't move. (18/26)

But lets go BACK to Segar for a minute, in a storyline where Popeye has a boxing match coming up and he's facing a boxer who also eats spinach. This was a Sundays storyline. I'd look the days up, but it's Sunday and that's my day off. (17/26)
