True. Esp apparent to an American who’s lived in places where ‘oldness’ is not despised or feared and generations mix freely. Where spaces contain 80 year olds and 50 year olds and 25 year olds and no one doubts that all could have a good conversation.

I'm having a very hard time, not just from the Trump decision but from the last couple weeks of SCOTUS, not feeling completely lied to by my Civil Procedure and Torts professors who insisted Stare Decisis was how this whole thing operated, and SCOTUS could be trusted. This is all awful.

It is a perfect example as to why people tend to think the world was at its zenith when they were about 10-15 years old. When you're blissfully unaware of the problems and issues and just enjoy, even the most problematic, things wholeheartedly.

I had a classmate in kindergarten through 4th grade, where every answer he gave was "He-man" and the other kids would make fun of him, but I felt that on a level and appreciated his candor. (I could not possibly make this up, I swear on everything I hold dear this is 100% true)
