Maybe so. His last State of the Union speech knocked my socks off, not just the speech but the 45 mins of glad-handing afterwards. But that was almost 4 months ago. Still, brain decline is usually more gradual, I think, unless there’s a stroke or some catastrophic medical event.

It can stay stable for a long time and then suddenly rapidly decline, often if there was a very stressful event, like a child being charged with crimes. This all makes sense in retrospect.
