The Scotsman also reported the decision of the Polish Government in London that the body of Premier Władysław SIkorski would eventually be interred in the royal crypt of Wawel Castle, Kraków. It remained in Newark-on-Trent through the communist era but was transferred in 1993 2/2

Kathy Peiss's new book on the "Information Hunters" of #WWII includes a chapter on the recovery & restitution of #Jewish #books seized by the #Nazis. 2,000,000 volumes were gathered in the Offenbach Depot.
