First impression of ABC interview: Stephanopoulos didn't want to let go without getting Biden to promise to step down if ... well, there were any number of ifs. Joe sounded good. I liked that in the end he refused to answer "that question." It was gonna be a gotcha.

The SCOTUS was kind of good news, bad news today. Emergency abortions allowed in Idaho. Clean air regulations shut down. The Oxycontin decision: Bad that billions won't be available to fight the Oxy epidemic, good that individuals can sue the Sacklers. Awaiting fallout.

I'm slightly diabled now (well, at 81, who isn't?), but after a childhood in which my father always accused me of faking when I said I didn't feel good, when I was really sick, but not congested, I would always fake being congested when I called into work, sure they wouldn't believe me.

I think the simplest explanation for Judge Aileen Cannon's action is that she is "running" for a SCOTUS seat. Of course, a SCOTUS seat is one of the few in which TFG cannot place an "acting." He'll have to get full Senate approval.

I'm thinking about the 4 hostages rescued from Gaza. I'm very happy for them & their families. But I'll also be watching for the story of their rescue. Of what made bombs necessary. Of why Palestinian civilian deaths were necessary. Of where they were kept. How the IDF knew where to go to get them.

Thinking about incarcerating TFG in the midst of an election in which he is a prime candidate, & have come up with my own solution. The judge sentences him to 2 1/2 months, with an order to report on November 6. Perhaps an additional sentence to community service pending the results of the election.
