On the Trump/Biden debate: do not fall into splits that mirror reductive hope/doom debates. As with climate, we cannot unsee what we saw on Thursday. What to do now is not obvious. But it’s right to grapple w/options instead of blindly carrying on as if it didn’t happen.

Every young child in Houston thinks any bout of rain = flooding. Which in their brains computes as: vehicles flooding, homes flooding, remaining at school because cars cannot pass/buses are not running, etc. It is stressful for all parties and not letting up.
