I'm pleasantly surprised at how they immediately recognised the problems (lack of knowledge/expertise in govt, and voter cynicism/apathy) and are working so quickly to solve them (appointing people with relevant knowledge/expertise, and getting shit done). It's refreshing, and reassuring!

This thread is also reminding me of how I went into Delta with high hopes, then felt disappointed with it for reasons I can't really explain. It's high time I gave it a second chance (perhaps via the movies rather than via the TV show?) because I desperately *want* to love it!

I think we all found our way to it at different times, so there's no one definitive idea of what it "should" be like. Eg. my gateway was Plus, followed by Zero and Frontier. I sometimes forget how I'm literally old enough to be the dad of some fans discovering it for the first time!

It's only been a few days, but I'm seeing early signs that a Dark Keith-led government here might be pretty good. Just people getting on with their jobs. Good administration comes across as sensible, pragmatic, and reassuring. I prefer politics when it's functional!

A (hopefully good) sign of maturity: I now have a "SFW" policy where all my figures must be fully clothed (no swimsuits, lingerie etc.). So technically this would be perfectly fine, if only I had cabinet space: www.amiami.com/eng/detail/?...

Same. Especially people who speak English well as a second language. It's so...irregular in terms of pronunciation, spelling and grammar, and that's before you get to regional accents and dialects. Not to mention those subtle nuances that we native speakers take for granted

Yeah, understandable. My experience is limited to her FictionJunction songs and, although the timbre of her voice doesn't do much for me, I respect her power and expressiveness. I can at least understand why she's popular! Her performances on "The First Take" for instance are really impressive
