I'm still in the Democrats need to chill the fuck out and let Biden recover camp. But, the increasing number of media stories about Biden's brain being silly putty may make that impossible. At which point, the idea that Biden is too old to win becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Or Biden starts running against the media, which has been such a successful strategy for Republicans even though the media helps them out by going out of their way to prove they have no liberal bias. Everyone hates media elites. Go after them!

You needn't be a dementia alarmist to think that: (a) comms and sales are legit parts of the job so getting worse at those matters, and (b) the actuarial tables say gambling on competence at age 86 is foolish, and the 25th Amendment is almost as dead a letter as the impeachment provision.

The only way Biden can stay in the race is to be *constantly* in public, making speeches, doing interviews etc. If he can't swing that or isn't up for it, the story will get ahead of him.

This is concerning. "From 10am to 4pm, Biden is dependably engaged — and many of his public events in front of cameras are held within those hours. Outside of that time range or while traveling abroad, Biden is more likely to have verbal miscues and become fatigued, aides told Axios."
