One of the things I loved and missed about doing research at smaller schools and county historical societies: setups like this, with no time or space for best practices. I left my bag near the entry and the archivist/director laughed and said "Why bother?" 😂

Via a grant, I'm working for my hometown school district on a history installation, which includes adding to the digital archive I built with Simley students -- and now blogging periodically about my findings.

No idea why, but Google Photos decided it wanted to remind me of this kid's artwork in the Joan Growe Papers (at MNHS). A St. Cloud family sent it to Growe after she got beaten (badly) by Rudy Boschwitz in 1984.

Have to say I don't feel REAL confident about my university's ability to pivot to business majors when its DFW tracker gives 27% for our dept as an average of 14, 8, and 4. Then again this was the school that tried to kill our major in 2018, SO! Shout-out to my chair having none of their bullshit.
