Update: we’ve been in a very minor car accident. The cab driver hit another car while changing lanes lol There was always a non-zero chance of this, given lack of traffic coherence, rules and people using their horn like sonar. Def. no swapping of insurance details post event, just carrying on 🤣

I've only been to Italy once (Sorrento, school trip, aged 14). Our school tour guide warned us very specifically about cars. He said drivers have a game of "see how near you can come to killing pedestrians without actually doing it". Anyway, glad it sounds like you're OK.
