Taxing may not be enough. I’d love to see a mandate akin to emissions standards that goes down to a 2035 target of 250 kgs per seat for passenger vehicles (just an example—I don’t know what the best number is).

I have an ID4 (275 mi range) that I mostly charge at home. I would be reluctant to get, say, a 150 mi version *specifically* because using the DC fast charging stations in my area (mainly Electrify America) is such a profoundly unpleasant experience

I do love the look (& propulsion sounds) of the Mustang Mach-E, but the VW ID.4 (or is it 6? 7?) is too much.
