I think people in general need to understand that consent is "Yes! I want to do this with you!" -- and that consent is NOT "OK, fine" after however much haranguing, whining, badgering, and pleading. Just because you can wear somebody down doesn't mean that what you're doing is actually consensual.

But precisely *because* the experience sucks, I don’t think a plug-in hybrid owner’s opinion is a good indicator. The best plug-in Prius has a battery range, of, what, 50 miles? so the ratio of annoyance to miles of range gained is much worse than with a full EV 2/2

I both agree and disagree with you here. I charge my EV (an ID.4) mostly at home. The SoCal fast charging station *distribution* is fine for an occasional mid-trip top-up; but the actual *experience* of charging at a fast charger is — totally unnecessarily — user-hostile dogshit 1/2
