Having been involved in local politics for a while I have seen what Dems will do to make sure every candidate is who they picked. If you aren't the party chosen candidate from the start you might have a hard time getting flyers, signs, and any kind of support from up-ballot Dems.

Just tested positive here after a year and a half of hard work trying to heal from COVID in 2022. I got paxlovid this time and the doctor was wildly unhelpful. Isolate for 5 days or until no fever for 24 hours. I never get a fever and don't have one but obviously I am contagious.

Do you have any sense of the scope of the problem? This has come with state child care administrators who have concerns and no authority to stop it. It's tough to go to a legislature without solid data though.
