I don’t remember why Cosby’s conviction(s) got overturned but in Weinstein’s case the reason was the improper admission of certain evidence, not that he never should have been convicted.

another prosecutor promised not to prosecute him ten years before his arrest in 2015. it's such bullshit and I don't know how that held up

To be clear-should not have been convicted under those conditions and should get a new trial, ie reversible error.
