I think the intelligent criticism is not that it isn’t a story (it is) but that it overwhelms the actual stakes. I know media pushback is it’s THE right now, but it’s fair criticism that they have underplayed Trump policies (& brain worms) throughout campaign. The general asymmetry reduces trust now

Great illustration of New York Times’ problems covering politics: they have a story that Trump policies will produce bigger inflation & deficits than Biden’s. But the story on THE WHOLE ECONOMY is on the 4th screen of the home page; a story on random voters’ perceptions of Biden is at the top.
