When I get down about the shitheads who bash Minneapolis (too often from inside the house) I see photos from @wedgelive.bsky.social’s Cat Tour and all is right with my world.

In February, the two lots were put up for sale as a single package for $3.25 million. While the pickleball lot eventually sold for $1 million, the Mooty home next door is still on the market at $2.1 million.

The funny part is he'd already built it, then got denied seeking a retroactive variance at the zoning board of adjustment. But he was able to win his appeal at the city council. Nobody put up a fight. I think I remember he had his immediate neighbors write in support.

Video of Charles Mooty asking for a setback variance for his pickleball court in January 2023. Hard to believe it was just last year. His house is also on the market, but hasn't sold yet.

Remember the former Dairy Queen CEO who bought and demolished the house next door — then built a pickleball court to prevent someone from turning it into a triplex? He just sold the pickleball court lot for redevelopment: "fantastic spot for a new build."

In addition to using multiple accounts to regurgitate the same lines, Becker has used one of them to praise herself in the third person. "It was good that Becker did this," Becker wrote about an action she took while a member of the city's Board of Estimate & Taxation in 2017.

In 2020, the Minneapolis Park and Rec Board adopted a plan to expand "forested and open green space" on the Mall in Uptown - park land that currently functions as a parking lot. The current board may try to undo it in order to preserve 25 parking spaces.
