Hard agree. He genuinely loves and understands cats. Yeah, he’s a little goofy but that’s the hook to get people to watch. It’s a nice corrective to some of the popular dog training content.

That may be. In this specific case I think they factored in that outrageous actions would only benefit their side. They’ve achieved a key goal of the conservative project: retroactively legalizing Watergate.

Yes, the majority are sophists, that’s a given. I do think there are probably actions that a Democrat could take that would be so obviously “legal” under this ruling that a majority of the asshats would at least be heavily embarrassed to rule against them.

What if Biden ordered the military to prevent leases from being sold? Send soldiers to shut down the offices that sell the leases? I think they have calculated that Democratic presidents simply won’t abuse the power. My pitch is simple. If elected I will abuse the hell out of it.

I think about this a lot. I think about the people in my life that were lost to mental illness. I think about people who say “mental illness doesn’t cause x antisocial belief/behavior” and I’m like “it absolutely does”. It’s hard and it sucks when people don’t extend grace. I certainly try to.

I just checked and I’ve been a member for almost 24 years. I signed up when it was still free, lol. FWIW, the rewrite plan sounds pretty solid to me and would enable quicker turnaround for new features. I hope it works out.

I think the real issue was the clear ceiling of support he had. He wasn’t making any inroads or increasing his share, despite having plenty of resources. It’s not clear to me that even if Buttigieg, Klobuchar, and Warren endorsed Bernie that they’re supporters would have transferred en-masse.

My thoughts are simply this: Putin belongs on trial for war crimes and should spend the rest of his miserable days in a jail cell. I don’t think the West “provoked” Putin but even if that were true, you don’t get a pass on war crimes. And yes, I apply the same logic to other conflicts.

Wiki says it also grows in “the Whipple Mountains and Imperial County areas of California”. But yeah, mostly just the Sonoran desert (which does extend into Mexico). Did you drive through the national park? One of coolest places on earth in my opinion.
