Can I read the word "simply" in between the words "that" and "by"? There are worthless posts (and worse) by the hundred billion, but some have saved lives, redirected careers, formed communities, reawakened hope.

Not legally, because:
1. the decision doesn't purport to make crimes committed by the President legal, it just makes them very difficult to punish;
2. the court kept control of when it does and does not apply, and clearly will not give Biden a pass;
3. though the court said it, it's not the law.

There was no GOP party platform in 2020, and Trump wants to shrink the proposed 2024 one. He opposes providing detail on how radical his second term will be because he knows its unpopular.
Make no mistake: Project 2025 was written by Trump appointees & loyalists. Its their shared agenda.

Contrast Plessy v. Ferguson, which arose from a similar organized protest against a Jim Crow law 25 years later, when Reconstruction was a distant memory.

That's a 2021 report. The claim is that more has been made public from that trial and is getting no coverage. I wouldn't know either way about that.

And it's where the majority of journalists still hang out, apparently. That has to have some influence on the media's turn to the right.

Sounds like what we need is for Harris to replace Biden *for the second debate*, and that would meet your objection?

Harris is in the administration already, and if Biden ever becomes unable to *govern* (a skill having little overlap with debating), the 25th Amendment ensures she can replace him then. Why not take advantage of Biden's long experience and legislative management skills while we still can?

After you said this I looked and noticed the contour interval is only 10 feet! Cemetery Ridge is only 50 feet high! They were charging up a 3% grade! As you say, though, still significant, especially under fire, I imagine.

I went looking for the whole War Room episode this Kevin Roberts/"bloodless" second American Revolution clip was in, and you know for all his "we are winning" pablum, the reason he is thanking a guest host at the top is because War Room's regular host is in jail www.mediamatters.org/project-2025...

The rules exist to make the game work, not the other way around.
The rules are necessary to the game, but the rules are not the point.
The game is the point.
Which leads me to this question: what’s the game?

I gather it's still important to military leadership to follow the Constitution. Can one anticipate that they will continue to follow the interpretations of the Supreme Court, despite growing daylight between those interpretations and the plain text?

The court didn't give him any power. They kept complete control of when immunity does or does not apply. It's schmuck bait.

Biden doesn't have "new powers". He now has a theoretical *license* to break the law, but the corrupt court decides when that applies, and it's designed for Trump--as a leash.

pretty distressing shit on the surface, and also! if they thought victory was assured they wouldnt have to try and message it into reality like this. this is a think tank pivoting to a war propaganda posture
believe them when they say it's war though. dont lie down and let them make it a massacre

I remember it was called Rambo: First Blood Part II when it came out in theaters. First Blood itself was barely remembered by that point and everyone just called the movie Rambo.
Hence the third movie was Rambo: First Blood Part III.
