A bit off topic, but wtf do veterans rights have to do with rural America any more than they have to do with urban America?

…because more often than not, a rural young person’s choices to support themselves are, work a low wage job or join the military. 44% of people in the military came from poor southern states. I’m not at all condoning their statement but explaining why they mentioned veterans.
