I hear it all the time too. Usually from my own mother. Hell, she called me yesterday saying I needed to apply for this groundskeeper job... I can barely walk, have use of 7 fingers on a good day, am legally blind... I'm like "are you outside of your mind?!" Just plain ignorance.

Oh we have the same mother? Who knew! 😉 (I’ve been disabled for 2 decades, and every time we talk she still wants to know if i’m “better yet??”)
